I’m half Chinese and half Indian and this is what I’m planning on wearing to my family Lunar New Year celebrations 🧧Slow fashion edition ✨ Happy Lunar New Year (for tomorrow) and happy Year of the fire horse which is actually my mums year!🐴ps, did anyone see the Bridgerton x Heated Rivalry cross over at the Gold House Lunar new year party…. SCREAMING🏡 Let me know in the comments what you think!💌Should I have gone for my mums cheongsam?! Of course I had to steal some I bought this dress back in 2022 from @northernpicnic a gorgeous made to order brand and year and year I just think it’s perfect for Chinese New Year🫶🏾With big celebrations, there’s always this big temptation to buy something new, when more often than not there are pieces we already own or hand-me-downs that work perfectly❤️‍🔥 pink silk top and red waistcoat were my mums💖ps, say hi to Mr Bunsen Burner Manuel🐈‍⬛

I bought these cowboy boots on impulse in a charity shop a few years ago because they were on trend (whops) but I actually wear them WAY more than I expected?!🤠 Have you ever bought something on impulse to end up wearing it a lot?! I always find charity shops the hardest place to say no to things , the bargains sometimes GET ME😭 We all make impulse purchases sometimes that we don’t end up wearing, but I think the most susty thing to do is to try and incorporate that item as well as you can into your wardrobe and almost force yourself to wear it! You might be surprised and find that the item does actually become something you wear more often than you realise 💖 Ps, building sustainable and ethical habits TAKES TIME so be kind to yourself!🌼 shot by me at @thebarnkt9 (contains previous ad/pr items)

mum I made it into @voguescandavia again (twice)😭I honestly can’t believe it!! Proof that susty fashion IS COOL💛 When I started posting about susty and ethical fashion , all I wanted to do was share how we can all make small imperfect changes to have the people and planet in mind🎀I NEVER thought I’d be going to @cphfw let alone being classed as “best dressed street style” as a brown girlie in an imperfect susty outfit 🥹such an honour🌟 Sometimes I think sustainable and ethical fashion is a trend, yet the fashion industry is slowly changing for the better (I mean, Shein just got fined by Italy and France YAY), and it is these positive changes that we should be celebrating!✨ Images by @noorunisa @janniph and @xjuliiale respectively 🫶🏾 Full outfit is second hand apart from the cardi @stinegoya and the sunnies @paloceras which were very kind ad/pr gifts #cphfw #sustainablefashion #maximaliststyle #thriftedootd #thriftedthis #thriftedfinds

I recently went to the most gorgeous wedding in Devon and found the MOST beautiful 100% silk slip dress for £20 💖(sadly the lining is polyester BOOOO) I’ve genuinely been searching for a slip dress I feel comfortable in for YEARS, and I think I finally found it 🥹 Let me know if you’ve ever waited ages for the perfect second-hand find too! 💌 Wedding guest dressing can feel like such a minefield, you want something formal, comfy, and versatile without buying fast fashion 😅ps, THANK YOU for all your shoe recommendations, these were PERFECT for all day🩶 There’s honestly no better feeling than finding something second hand that’s better for the people, planet and your wallet, and that you can dress up and wear casually 💖 I already can’t wait to wear this for a cosy Sunday out!

You need to watch Confessions of a Shopaholic if you want to understand your shopping habits 🛍️ Let me know in the comments if you watched it, and if you’ve ever fallen into the trap of retail therapy, I know I am not alone!❤️‍🩹💌 I recently rewatched this film and what an early 2000s GEM!!! So fun, flirty and silly but it also highlights a much deeper issue; how our mental health is SO closely linked to our consumption habits. I mean, 77% of us have bought something in the last month to life our moods* I was in therapy for 7 years until very recently I learnt how I used shopping as a tool to feel better but also show how I was successful (which was linked to being bullied and also cultural influences) but understanding that has allowed me to hold myself from over consuming if I am feeling down ❤️‍🩹 As it is mental health awareness week, just wanted to say that habits don’t break overnight, and it is okay not to feel okay you are not alone in that! 🫶🏾 Glasses and necklaces previous ad/pr items *2023 Study by Deloitte, “For consumers, splurges aren’t just lipstick” Psychology Today article on “Shopping, Dopamine, and Anticipation” - still taken from Confessions of a Shopaholic

Are sample sales a more sustainable way to shop?🛍️ This ultimately comes down to the WASTE, reducing waste and finding ways to prevent old stock and samples from going to landfill or gathering dust! ✨ Let me know what your thoughts are on sample sales in the comments!💌 I’ve also gone to sample sales and just seen SO MUCH STUFF it has mind of made me question whether all the items are actual samples or if they’re overproduction pieces ?! 😅 Of course if a brand doesn’t produce with the people in mind, it doesn’t matter if they have a sample sale or not that doesn’t change if the production is ethical! Ultimately, it’s so easy to over consume at sample sales as they feeling of exclusivity personally really hits me which is why I always use my thrift list so I don’t just get sucked into buying things I won’t use💛 Cutest upcycled horse necklace from @hopetown_and_hunter (ad/pr)

Styling my £15 Chanel shoes I painted orange 🍊 with a dress @relovedstudio creatively repaired after it had SO many holes (over 50!!!)😅 Let me know in the comments how you would style them! 💌 I am pretty new to the kitten heel life 🤭 I’m honestly so happy with how these shoes turned out, it was a whole process (if you saw the video you’ll know lol), but it feels like I really brought them back to life 🥹 The dress was second hand and covered in 50+ holes (pretty sure a dog had a go at it 😅), so Becky from @relovedstudio patched it up in a fun, creative way and it just feel SO me with the colourful patches ✨ Repairing isn’t just practical, it’s a little rebellion against fast fashion! Choosing to repairing what already exists instead of just buying something new 💖 (Gorgeous socks from @anitamiklavcic and made in Slovenia in small batches! Ad/pr) #MendItMay

Fashion is ART 🎠 What I would wear to the 2026 Met Gala as a slow fashion girlie who cares about the people and planet with @hopetown_and_hunter 🐓 ~ ad The Met Gala needs a little bit of slow and ethical fashion! I love anything maximalist, whimsical, structured and textured☁️It was so fun putting together this outfit and just getting creative with what I already own 💖 No outfit is complete without accessories and this necklace and bag charm from @hopetown_and_hunter is the literal definition of JOY 🎠 All made from upcycled objects, Lindsey’s whole ethos is literally to make wearable art with things that already exist and I am OBSESSED! Maximalism and slow fashion at it’s best 🥹✨ Let me know in the comments what you think of the final outfit 💌(Would I make it onto the met gala red carpet? lol😂) And don’t forget to check out @hopetown_and_hunter if you’re looking for slow fashion accessories that just bring you JOY in the everyday 🪄 (all images via vogue and Pinterest)

Random things I do that I think actually help me be slower and more sustainable with my clothes 🤭 Let me know if you do any of these fun quirks!💌 I honestly think some of the fun, silly, quirky things we so can be the most susty things we do👀 Things I do! - A part-worn shelf - Using crates on shelves - Steam cleaning to refresh items I think we often think being more sustainable means really drastic changes, yet I actually think some of the smallest things we do can be some of the most powerful changes we make! It doesn’t need to be CRAZY 🩵 (jumper, shoes and tights previous ad/pr)

ad I found these vintage Chanel heels for £15, and I am repairing them and dyeing them orange to turn them into my dream summer shoe🍊👀 with @sustainablefashionweek_uk It is Mend it May, a campaign by the team behind @sustainablefashionweek_uk , and it’s time to try and bring these vintage Chanel heels that I found for £15 (crazy!?!?!) back to life! They were looking pretty rough, so I repaired them myself by using leather filler in the cracks, getting them resoled by the cobblers (you don’t have to repair everything yourself) and then dyeing them💅🏽 Let me know in the comments if you have any repairs you have planned for this month, since it is Mend It May💌 In the UK, we throw away approx 149 million pairs of shoes every year! Instead of letting our clothes and shoes end up in landfill, I think we can have a little bit of fun mending them to turn them back into pieces we will wear and love 💝 I have literally NEVER repaired shoes in my life, but this was actually so much fun having a go, and I am SO happy with how they turned out 🥹 Data from Vivo Bare Foot research in 2020, images via Pinterest #MenditMay

ad What is the weirdest thing you’ve received a Vinted or eBay parcel in ?!👀 Mine has to be an old cereal box 🥣... with @ukpostoffice As a second-hand fashion girlie through and through, I really want more people to shop and love second-hand, and I think a really easy way to do that is to make their first preloved experience to be ⭐️MAGICAL⭐️ Shipped as quickly as possible, packaged securely and nicely so that it feels like an EXPERIENCE 🤭 Let me know in the comments if there is anything you do to ensure you get good reviews💌 Post Office has over 11,500 branches across the UK, they sell packaging if needed and always have tips if you need them! Plus they have a range of different postage carriers under one, making it so quick and easy to post those second-hand bits securely 💝
