Lots of time behind the lens. Every day is something new, and I’m growing so much both creatively and in my Japanese ability because of it.
I’ve also been cooking up some awesome video projects with these dudes. Street cuts, music videos, interviews, live shows, etc. All of these guys are dope in their own right, so stay tuned because it’s gonna be heat 🏁
Had the opportunity to be the cameraman for an album release party last weekend. Artists were fire, and the community was one of the best I’ve seen. And it was yet another chance to get outside my comfort zone, speak the language, and make connections. Until next time ✌🏾.

My favorite thing about photography is how every frame is more than just a moment in time. For one, photography transcends language and cultural barriers. Even with my broken Japanese, me making my best attempt to socialize with and take a photo of one guy at a party led to me exploring the whole city and having some once in a lifetime encounters.
Each shot captures a story. And these stories get to live on long after the click of the shutter.

Last month, I traveled Spain and The UK with some of the most awesome people on the planet. Squad is undefeated on crazy plans making it out the group chat 🤞🏾.
Today I’m moving to Japan 🇯🇵. My last 7 years in Texas was nothing short of amazing. In that time I really learned to value friendship and community. This photo series is my way of celebrating and appreciating some of the incredible people who were a part of that Texas fam.

Just had my second ever battle this weekend. Ngl I was suuuuper nervous, and it felt like I was spamming buttons on my controller, but I liked the way the round turned out.
From here, I mainly want to work on patience so I can have more time to think and develop concepts. Also, I want to have more intention and confidence in my movement. Either way, I had so much fun and I’m hyped for what’s next! Shoutout to @evolve_session for the event.

Checked one off the bucket list ✅. Had my first battle after dancing for 4 months. Didn’t make it past prelims or anything, but the challenge and the energy alone made it all worth it. Watching everyone else kill their rounds straight up felt like a movie! Thanks @summers.hailey for hosting and all the HQ fam for bringing the hype! Left feeling super inspired and wanting to learn more✌🏾🕺
