Hot 🔥 (and not quite) outta the kiln, these coloured slip vases have been a true labour of love and an exploration in play. It's been such fun to experiment with different ways to paint my thick slip onto the vases 🖌️👩🏼🎨
Before glazing, I painted wax around all the pink 🩷 slip onto the plain clay. This will leave raw clay with the textured slip sections glazed in white to add additional texture with the contrast of matte and gloss, along with the rough raw clay and smooth glazed sections.

Women who work outside the home then come home and work some more as a single parent. Women who teach, Women who are artists, and Women who make beautiful things because they love using their hands to create. The list could go on forever...
I have found so many amazing women to call my friends over the last 5-10 years, women who teach me to be a better person. It's a wild ride being a woman sometimes but having you gals by my side makes me feel comforted that I'm not alone and I am understood. You know who you are 😘
