Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Trinity College, The University of Melbourne through one of IZZA Group’s live projects - the Evan Burge Library Renovation.
Led by Ali Soleiman, Alexander Woodward, Marc Amad and Corey Lupton, the walkthrough provided students with a firsthand look into the realities of delivering complex construction projects within live educational environments. From coordination and staging through to structural detailing and day-to-day site management, the session offered valuable insight into what it takes to bring projects like this to life.
At IZZA Group, we are passionate about supporting the next generation of industry professionals and creating opportunities for students to connect classroom learning with real-world project delivery.

Cadet Program Applications Now Open
Applications are now open for the IZZA Group Cadet Program, commencing this July through to December.
Our Cadet Program is designed to develop the next generation of construction professionals, providing hands-on experience across live projects while supporting your final year of study.
We are seeking driven and motivated final-year university students currently completing degrees in construction, engineering, architecture, or related disciplines.
This six-month program offers:
• Exposure across key areas of the business including estimating, contract administration, project delivery, and site operations
• Ongoing mentoring and support from experienced industry professionals
• The opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across Victoria
• A direct pathway into our Graduate Program upon successful completion

@deakinuniversity Building B Major Refurbishment & School of Engineering - Project Completion
IZZA Group is proud to announce the successful completion of the Deakin University Building B Major Refurbishment and School of Engineering project.
Delivered within a fully operational, four-level environment, the project has transformed an existing asset into a contemporary, high-performing and multi-purpose teaching facility.
The scope included the introduction of new teaching spaces aligned to flat floor pedagogical models, collaborative student environments, as well as specialist facilities for Environmental, Mechanical and Civil Engineering, in addition to dedicated Physics laboratories.
This was a project characterised by a particularly demanding program. Despite a compression to the construction period, the completion date remained unchanged. This required disciplined staging, clear leadership, and effective coordination across a broad consultant and stakeholder group. Throughout delivery, careful attention was given to safety, communication, and minimising disruption within a live campus setting.
The result is a revitalised facility that restores the building’s relevance and purpose and positions it to support the next generation of students through practical, well-considered and forward-looking spaces.
This achievement was only possible through a genuinely collaborative effort between all parties involved, and we thank everyone who contributed to its success.

Deakin University Ventilation Upgrade - Project Completion

Delivered under a Design & Construct and Construction Management model, this project involved the upgrade and installation of critical mechanical ventilation systems to enhance indoor air quality, performance, and compliance with evolving standards.
Delivered within operational teaching and learning spaces, the works required careful planning, staging, and coordination to minimise disruption to staff and students.

The delivery of specialist research infrastructure requires precision, planning, and careful coordination - particularly when working within a live university environment.
IZZA Group is proud to announce the successful completion of the University of Melbourne Design & Construct Plastination Project.
Located within the basement of an operational Biology and Anatomy Laboratory, the facility was constructed to form an explosion-proof environment incorporating 4-hour fire-rated walls and a 3-hour fire-rated ceiling, designed to meet the stringent safety and compliance requirements associated with plastination processes.
Delivered over a four-month period, including the Christmas shutdown, the project presented several complexities associated with working within an operational research facility. Through meticulous planning, strict access protocols, and close collaboration with the University, consultants, subcontractors and end users, the IZZA Group team successfully navigated these challenges.
The completed facility now provides a highly controlled and compliant environment that will support advanced anatomical research and education at the University of Melbourne. A great outcome delivered through teamwork and careful execution.

Exciting progress at Huskisson Reserve!
We’re pleased to share a key milestone on the Huskisson Reserve Pavilion project for the @citywhittlesea , with the ground floor slab now successfully completed.
This marks an important step forward as the structure of the new pavilion begins to take shape. Our team continues to make strong progress on site and is now preparing works for six tennis courts, two pickleball courts, one rebound court, a 53-space car park, and extensive landscaping.
Once complete, the new pavilion and surrounding facilities will provide modern infrastructure to support local sporting clubs and the wider community for years to come.
A great effort from the entire project team and our trade partners who continue to drive the project forward. We look forward to sharing further updates as construction progresses.
