Getting splattery with this homage to Crimson Mist. I loved this comic so much as a kid so it feels cool to finally draw something from it. I'll eventually put this cover up on my store to buy so stick around for news on that! #batman #CrimsonMist #blood #metal #comicbooks #comics #inking #originalart #traditionalart #iggypop

I'm so relieved to finally put this one to bed and sorry to all those who saw the constant spam! 😂 I recently joined Auroch Digital, creators of the mighty Boltgun and as of April I passed my probation so wanted to celebrate a bit with some fan art of their last game as I'm a colossal fan of it myself. I'm really happy with how things are going lately and excited for the next few years

GUEST ARTWORK REVEAL & CHAT! ✒️ w/ @iz.ma ! 💀 @ysbrydgames @iz.ma is an illustrator and Game Dev from the UK who's worked across the entertainment sphere, but we're happy to have them with us on World of Horror: The Board Game! You may have also seen their work on the indie Game Boy horror game Deadeus. Q. What's the inspiration behind "The Dream Devourer"? A. "I really love the idea of the Dream Devourer in its entirety just being a finger of something much larger, so I tried to get some of that motif in there. I made it seem as if it's pulling the mind apart in a psychic manner and then drinking the dream right out of the skull, all whilst sleeping." Q. How does this differ from your usual work? A. "I approached this digitally at first but wanted to keep half a foot in gritty traditionalism and so it's a little bit more textured than some of my other work. I love to get some of the spatters and dot tones in there as that to me calls back to hand drawn comic books. My usual work skews a little more gory so I approached it from that angle but I think it fits in with some of the other horrors you can find in the game!" Check the link in our bio to get a copy of @iz.ma 's work in our new Alarm variant featured on the last slide!

Recently I've been loving @brianbiggsstudio 's new YouTube channel and it's inspired me to dig through my art drawer and pick up some new pencils to test. I have heard of Blackwing and it's reputation so I grabbed a few to test and sure enough they are lovely. Trouble with traditional pencils these days is that they feel too light in my hand compared to my weightier metal Staedtlers that I love. (@staedtler I lov u) With that in mind I'm not sure *exactly* why I chose to roll the dice on Ohto Pencils but I feel very mixed on them. The 2mm holder doesn't clutch the lead enough to sharpen and the barrel is too small for the length of lead but it feels kind of cool in hand. I like the idea of not thinking about keeping the tip sharp and just using it as a scrappy tool. The 0.5 Ohto feels cool but it also feels like I could easily break it.

Another recent oldie. The first drawing I did after quitting the games industry to go try art full time so always interesting to look back on. I remember I used to hate the look of the terminators and never really got the appeal until I started to fall into the 40k universe a little more, reading some of the books, and especially after really falling in love with Space Hulk. Now I love them them more than nearly any other unit. I didn't quite hit the feel I was after with the full drawing here so I always think about returning to it

Another old favourite! We love the Chucky movies so when I was doing my horror box set series I had to draw him. I actually have a few more planned when I get back, it's just fitting them all in!

I'm starting to really miss comic work. I always jump between Game Dev, spot illustration and Comic bits and I can feel the clock slowly click back to sequential art. This comic was for @soul_devourmentdm and @anatomia_jp 's split with @sewer_rot_records and was a ton of fun to do. I've been chipping away extraordinarily slowly at another script in the background that I'll have done by May but I also want to make a new issue of my own comic Stereodeth soon with a bit of a style revamp. I've been endlessly inspired by @ryanottley 's pencilling process and whilst I'm still currently away travelling I can't wait to get back and draw

Inspired by @the.moon.ghoul 's post about sharing old work again I wanted to chuck this back in. @warhammerofficial would be an absolute dream client for me and I always love drawing their world. For this one I was trying to be a bit more confident with the shadow work and whilst it's not perfect I think it helped move the needle for my work following it
