The Grand Opening on 8 August is especially meaningful, marking the anniversary of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
The ShunYi Olympic Cable Park was built on the former 2008 Olympic regatta course and features a 5‑pylon Rixen cableway. The venue has successfully hosted IWWF World Cup stops in 2013 and 2014.

Joining 30+ sports, the Games will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany, from 19–29 July 2029.
