SONICO LATAM tour 2025:
DAY 14: 2nd concert: Teatro Colón - Salón Dorado
🎹 Yamaha CFIII
2nd concert of the day, in this historical landmark of Buenos Aires, the impressive Teatro Colón. Rovira Retrospective program featuring trios, cuartetos and octets!
SONICO LATAM tour 2025:
DAY 14: 1st concert: CCK - Palacio Libertad
🎹 Yamaha CFX ✨
First of 2 concerts today. And it’s a special one. I played this piano for the first time here in 2022. At the time, I only knew about the Yamaha CFX from publicity in piano magazines, and playing it was such a joy, that I never forgot about it. It feels like a close friend you can relax with and just be yourself. In my opinion this is definitely a contender for the best piano in Argentina 🇦🇷
(I had a little 😵💫 claustrofobic freakout 😱 in the elevator, that for some surreal reason stopped twice on every floor - with no one getting in or out … 6 pointless floors before finally arriving at the right one … so stairs it is for the rest of the day … )

DAY 10 & DAY 11: recording ROVIRA100
🎹 Yamaha C5
More adventures in Buenos Aires-land. Today is the last day of recording our new album in the wonderful Estudio Doctor F. After hours we explore this enchanting city. The Ramiro Boero orquesta concert at CAFF - Club Atlético Fernández Fierro on Friday was a blast. Incredible players, fantastic music. This city is alive and kicking!

DAY 8: recording ROVIRA100
🎹 Yamaha C5
Next few days will be spent recording our new album ROVIRA100. First time in this excellent studio Doctor F. (their Yamaha C5 is a joy to play) in the Saavedra neighbourhood of Buenos Aires (with the spirit of Goyeneche still floating around 🙂
We’ve already got 2 tunes in the can, so I deserved a chocolate churro from the nice bakery on the corner 😋
SONICO LATAM tour 2025:
DAY 5: travel to Buenos Aires
DAY 6: day off in Buenos Aires
Due to several days of national mourning because of Pope Francisco’s passing, all cultural events are put on hold. Our concert tomorrow has been moved to next wednesday. After traveling about 2000km in the last week, we all enjoyed a well-deserved day off on the final stop of this tour, Buenos Aires.
I’ve been strolling through the busy streets of the Reina del Plata, this mad and beautiful city. Hitting the usual spots (Ateneo bookstore, Zivals …) and having a chance encounter with friends in front of the Teatro Colón.

DAY 4:
Teatro Municipal, Río Cuarto (Argentina 🇦🇷)
🎹 Bechstein Model D (from 1911)
Last stop before Buenos Aires: we arrived in Río Cuarto. They have this really fantastic Bechstein piano here, dating from 1911, the exact same year the theatre was built (for those hardcore Bechstein spotters out there: serial number 95191). Aside from all the musical adventures, the flan with dulce de leche at lunchtime was a real treat and calorie feast 🍮 😋
SONICO LATAM tour 2025:
DAY 3:
Teatro del Libertador San Martin, Córdoba (Argentina 🇦🇷)
🎹 Steinway Model D
We traveled 750km across the Argentine heartland and arrived at this wonderful concert hall in Argentina’s 2nd city, Córdoba (and yes, I’m still wearing the same t-shirt as yesterday. It’s my travel shirt. As soon as we get to Buenos Aires - on Tuesday - I’ll throw it in the washing machine 😁
SONICO LATAM tour 2025:
DAY 2:
Teatro del Bicentenario, San Juan (Argentina 🇦🇷)
🎹 Steinway Model D
We flew over the Andes mountain range very early this morning to Mendoza and then traveled to San Juan. Beautiful hall, wonderful piano (the T-shirt is just misleading and wishful thinking 😁
SONICO LATAM tour 2025:
DAY 1:
Aula Magna de la Universidad de Santiago, Santiago de Chile (Chile 🇨🇱)
🎹 Blüthner
First stop of this tour (I thought I would continue these nerdy posts like I did on the last tour 😁 Espero que lo disfruten. This is our first and only concert in Chile. Tomorrow we travel to Argentina to continue our shenanigans.
