Do any of your friends have prints or art pieces that you’ve wanted so bad but been too shy or too broke to get? 🫣 I personally saw a lot of prints at the Yr3 WIP exhibition at the Copeland Gallery that I wanted to have but was too broke to buy 🥹 With this Art Swap, I’m hoping we can all exchange our beautiful work with friends and other IVM students (including yr1s, yr2s, DPS, and MA). 🎉 Year 2 Exhibition at LCC! 🎉 This week, our year 2 IVM students held an exhibition of their work at LCC - The Future Reading Room. This is an amazing collection of ideas, images, design and speculative thinking about the future of illustration and visual media. This work stems from a project asking year 2 Illustration and visual Media students to consider both their future practice, and the possible directions that disciplines connected to Illustration and visual Media might evolve in.  This included extensive personal research and reflection, a 2-day seminar inviting 6 professional practitioners into LCC to talk about their work and experiences, as well as a visit to the Year 3 Illustration and Visual media Work in Progress exhibition.  These ideas were then developed into small publications and A3 prints which bring together reflections, visualisations, and thoughts about individual and collective future practice, into tangible designed documents.   Thank you to our year 2 students, especially the year 2 curation team who brought all this work together to make such a great exhibition!
