our sweet leo deserves his own post.
just yesterday we found that leo had been hit and killed by a car. just as i felt like i was handling willows passing a little easier, we got hit in the face with leo’s passing. we are heavy hearted.
leo meant so much to our family. clarke absolutely adored leo and it never failed that when clarke saw leo, he instantly was in the best mood.
leo found us last december. it was a cold rainy night and we heard a deep constant meowing outside our house. he was huddled under a bush and quickly felt safe enough to come up on our porch to me and quickly learned he was the most friendly, loud cat. we assumed he had a home because of how friendly he was and his attempts to run into our house. we didn’t feed him for a few days and i made a post trying to find his family but he kept coming around and made it known that we were his home. we welcomed him and started feeding him and gave him a warm place to sleep on our porch. we would of let him be a inside/outside cat but we aren’t allowed indoor pets at our rental. although he would sometimes sweet talk his way in for a short visit.
we will miss his welcome home meows, his patience and love for clarke, his kindness, and his snuggles. i hate that he had to pass like that, i pray it was a quick, painless death.
leo, you were the best first pet we had as a family. clarke is going to miss his buddy and so are we🤍. you were heaven sent.

two weeks ago we had to make the hard decision to lay willow to rest. i don’t think i have the words to accurately describe what willow meant to me and how much joy she brought into my life. nor do i have the words to describe how hard its been adjusting to her absence.
willow was dropped off and abandoned on my parents drive way when she was just a 9 week old puppy and i was 13. i’ll never forget leaving to go to church and my mom saw her and her brother and stopped the car and threw them in. thankfully my dad agreed we could keep her and since then she had been my best friend. she found us and i’m forever thankful whoever dropped her off did it at our place.
the farm is somber without you my girl. i will forever miss seeing your face as i drive up and you running to greet me. i will forever cherish our nights together. as well as the car rides, the pup cups, the walks, the golf cart rides, your company while teaching horseback riding lessons, your sweet eyes, your soft ears. your desire to be where i am. your snuggles when i had a bad day, or a good day. you stealing my spot in bed. you getting excited when i woke up in the morning. loving on you. i will miss it all.
my heart aches to not get to dote on you. i love you my weewo pup. you were heaven sent.
