I meant to post these a while ago but completely forgot to. Some of you know I don’t watch One Piece but we took these when we did a photoshoot for @cristinacaptures ‘ birthday. I really don’t post on here too often so I’ll probably be posting more frequently in the future. #onepiece #cosplay #zorro #mihawk #costume

Sometimes I make art. 💀 Here’s a step-by-step guide on how I made the Halloween Skull and candy corn sign. 1- start off by sitting some cardboard and staple it together to build your base (lower mandible) 2/3/4 -cut more cardboard and add to it until you get your desired frame 5- add pieces to give depth and shape 6-spray foam insulation around mold (yes I know I could’ve just built the skull from stacked blocks of foam but I didn’t know how big I wanted it to be) 7- using a knife, cut out and shape nose 8- layer more foam and build teeth out of aluminum foil to get an idea of where you want them to be 9- attach block(s) of polystyrene to top of project using spray foam, this will form the brow and be the top of the eye socket. Mark where it is to be trimmed 10- glue side panels to create eye sockets. Cut out teeth and hold together with toothpicks. Trim marked areas and shape nose and cheeks 11- I drew out how I wanted my skull to look and used this as reference 12- add top brow, mark where to cut 13- attach another block of polystyrene to top of skull and round out by cutting it, remove teeth and cut out marked areas 14- round out top of cranium, add side cranial panels and add lower eye sockets 15- trim excess, smooth out eye sockets 16- adhere previously removed teeth with foam and connect top brow and cranium with said to blend 17- use plaster and or a water based primer to cover skull (inside and out), in order to weather proof (do not skip this step) 18- cut out eye sockets and nose, remove skull from cardboard mold 19- spray paint a minimum of two coats with the color paint of your choice, I went with red. Once dried (about an hour), spray with clear sealant for another two coats. 20- mount onto the backing of your choice with zip ties as to not damage the skull. I built some candy corn signs and decided to go with that.
