Wilmington, this one is for our youth. DETV Is launching a FREE after-school Media & Broadcast Journalism Program for middle school students (11-14) in the City of Wilmington.
If you know a young person who is creative, curious, loves cameras, podcasts, storytelling, or just needs a safe and structured space after school, send this to them.
Through this program, students will learn:
⢠Camera operation
⢠On-air presentation
⢠Podcast production
⢠Storytelling and digital media skills
This initiative is in partnership with Wilmington Learning Collaborative and Wilmington Housing Authority. In addition to hands-on media training, participating families will have access to wraparound support services to help remove barriers and strengthen student success.
This is more than media.
This is exposure.
This is confidence-building.
