Estamos de vuelta después de un verano inmersos en la vida rural del sur de Italia (de donde proviene Ivan) y una desconexión más que necesaria. La vuelta a la rutina es como el oleaje en un día de tormenta. Ahora estás arriba saltando sobre las olas y al rato siguiente una oleada enorme te da en la cara y te hunde en lo más hondo, para volver a reflotar más fuerte con los pulmones llenos de aire 😂
Para que la vuelta fuera menos brusca y más motivadora, Ivan decidió sumergirse de nuevo en los campos de viñas trabajando unas semanas con la familia de @atroca_wines 🫶
La experiencia ha sido muy enriquecedora bajo todos los puntos de vista. Tener la oportunidad de poder ayudar con el prensado, trasvases, toma y control de densidades, además de la limpieza, ha sido muy bonito. Pero entender muchos porqués de las cosas ha sido lo más motivador de la estancia.
Un agradecimiento especial va a @agustitroca por su amistad y confianza depositada, a toda la familia ATRoca y el equipo por hacerle sentir en casa y uno más de la familia 💖
Pero ahora sí chicxs, es hora de volver a darle caña a Oddity, que vuelve a estar a pleno rendimiento y con el frigorífico llenito de birra.

I’ve been working for ages representing others, and like other humans, I’ve taken shit-tons of responsibility for expressing the view of the company that put food on our table. We built @oddity.brewing with a few *quids* thanks to our family at @whiplashbeer , we bumped out of the shell so fast thanks to the trajectory, quality, and expressivity.
.
We sailed some of the most difficult times in this space-time, like many others. Now is the time to give something back, to improve much more our work and hopefully to create more possibilities from that.

My fam and myself (thanks to all of you) are happy to announce the born of our own distribution, something that we call right now ODD DISTRO.
.
Focused on moving our own beers faster as we did, and better than we can always we promise same or better quality service we provided in the last years. This doesn’t stop here. Our first beer is being delivered *from yesterday, will be delivered today and tomorrow.*

A little path to be truly independent, a big path to improve our human relations.

Yesterday, today and forever in the grace of nature I’ll be thankful to share my life with such a powerful humans. Yesterday @ 18:39 @vickynsug gave birth to this healthy little new life sailor named Kai Raho Navarro.

Quick update on what’s about the Odd at @oddity.brewing .

Seems clear that everyone is getting on truck again. We are quite happy of what we archived during this last year, and with no doubt we’ve been trying hard to get this small project floating and sailing by his own. Always a special mention and thanks to our @whiplashbeer family, to be that good mentors and so supportive, always.

Thanks to all the support received we’ve been filling tanks quite often. We tested our support bend and we actually realized time ago that we need to get out from our comfort zone.

This is just a wake up call, saying that is time to run this on another speed and hopefully we can make it happen sometimes near soon.

I spent time thinking about how to approach a couple of different styles as first release and I got a prompt wave of feelings about it. Planning Shedland as an India Pale Ale focusing first on high “drinkability” and nuanced flavors, soft yet zesty and approaching the wall of saturation without breaking it in, was fun. Crumbling Crowd as an ode to all my mentors was a complete itineration of pushing that beautiful love for dark beers through another pint breaker brew. .
An ode to the recent past, the good vibes and learnings that never end!
This is the true inflection point of the last six years. Lot of people to thank, many to love. Rise the pints, this goes for yourself from us. .

Personally I didn't have a good sleep in the last couple of weeks, but every time I see this picture it gives me some good motivation to don't care for it by now.

Leaving starred Michelin restaurants to follow a personal and professional trajectory seems like a never ending evolution. What I learned in those 10 years is to give credit and feelings to a personal and emotional growth, to give path and set on your side ideas that represent and give a feeling about you.

In less than 24h I'll be back in the tank farm. Commercially brewing from tomorrow.

Some sort of good feelings and so much excitement is what I will carry with me, leaving behind all the little fears that come with a new project like @oddity.brewing

Trying to incapsulate those good feelings and expressing what's gonna be the focus in those beers is what takes me back in the days when I was aiming to do what I'll do tomorrow.
