Most people ruin black & white footage by just desaturating. That removes control over tonal separation and that’s what makes B&W look cinematic and more proffecional. Here’s a better workflow in DaVinci Resolve: • Use DaVinci Wide Gamut for maximum dynamic range. Convert log footage properly (Log → DWG → Rec.709) • Use RGB Mixer instead of saturation and adjust RGB channels. 🟥 affects skin, foliage warmth 🟩 affects foliage detail, skin contrast 🟦 affects sky brightness, shadows • Shape tones with curves This gives you full control over tones, contrast, luminance, and texture. If you’re into videography, filmmaking, and color grading—this is a must. #colorgrading #davinciresolve #videoediting #blackandwhitefilm #cinematiclook

Vintage 24mm vs Modern 24mm. This is old Canon 24mm f/2.8 S.S.C. lens I tested recently and compared to Sony 24mm f/1.4 GM. Same camera, same shots, same grade. Kodak 2383 look only. Nothing else changed. What surprised me? This Canon lens is 53 years old and it’s razor sharp. I honestly expected it to be way softer than it is. There’s a slight colour cast, but honestly... that’s the charm. One thing I caught in post — the f-stops don’t behave the same. Canon’s f/5.6 gives noticeably shallower depth of field compared to the Sony at the same setting Bottom line: straight out of camera, the Canon 24mm f/2.8 S.S.C. just looks like something. 👇 Which look do you prefer?

What’s the name of the tower? #cinematic #cinematography #photography #verticalvideo #london #bigben #gimbal #sonyfx3 #sigma2470art #djirs4pro #uk_shooters Answer ⬇️ 👀 Trick question. The tower is called Elizabeth Tower. Big Ben is just the bell. I’ve just learned that. I’m not that smart.
