When we as Ivano’s opened our doors more than 36 years ago, we opened on Valentine’s day, the day centered around love. We did this in hopes that we would set a standard in our home that was loving, accepting, and inclusive. For the past 36 years we have run our restaurant in a way that we have been proud of. A place where everyone, no matter the color of their skin, the God they worship, their sexual orientation, or their past, is welcome and loved.
Jim Lippi, our late owner and founder, was a man that was loved and spread love to everyone he knew. You can ask anyone who knew him and they’ll tell you stories about how he literally would give the shirt off his back to someone. He cared for everyone in a way that was fatherly. Jim was a man that never fired anyone for the sake of wanting to give them the opportunity to better themselves. For the past 4 years we have ran our restaurant in a way that we hope Jim Lippi would be proud of.
So today as a family we push ourselves to be better still. To continue to give our shirts to people and to love everyone as they are now. We are continuing to build an environment we want our children to be comfortable in and proud to be a part of. We are making strides to take a look at ourselves as a company to be the absolute best we can.
Love lives in our restaurant, which is our family. When you walk through our doors you are not our customer, but you are our family, and we will love you.
Hello Sandpoint!
We are eager to open back up for you and so excited to have you see all the work we’ve been doing inside the restaurant.
However, reopening is going to be a much different beast. Our staff will be masked and sanitizing everything frequently. Our tables are all 10 feet apart, menus recycled after each use, and much much more.
Our patio will be open and we have heaters now too!
Our planned open date is Wednesday, May 20. If that changes we will make sure we post it here!
Ivano’s Del Lago at the @beyond_hope_resort will be opening shortly after our in town location and we will give you a more definitive date when we have that.
Thank you so much for all your continued support and we can’t wait to see all of your wonderful faces in our restaurant again!
