This year we celebrate our 10th Halloween together as Dead Astaire! What started out as a one time idea to recreate the Oingo Boingo party scene from the movie Back to School has turned into one of the best friend hangs ever. Thanks to everyone who has joined us onstage throughout the years to make these parties happen❤️ From the first speakeasies at Tinkers warehouse to various venue across PDX, its been a blast! Clutch cargo gig announcement! My new project with @jcontonio@newsuit and @kevinjmoran called “Modern Low” will make our live debut opening for the great @merotheband Thursday, May 18th at 8pm at @showbar.pdx (Ticket link in bio)! A few years back I pretty much laid the touring Ivan to rest and went back to school for 3D design. I’m lucky enough to be a 9-5er nowadays, but I’ve never stopped writing songs. And never will. This group of jams were hashed out in a room together over the pandemic. I thing they turned out great & I’m excoted/terrified to play them live. Maybe for the 1 and only time, or maybe we’ll play them opening for holographic Kiss one day. You never know! It’s been 1 year since my mom passed. If anyone knew her, you know how much she loved singing and playing music. I wouldn’t have even considered a career in music if not being exposed to it constantly around her. And do I have stories! I made this play list of a few songs she loved.
