Because when a place survives eight years in Sofia’s nightlife, it stops being just a venue and starts feeling like territory. For some, a dancefloor. For others, a ritual. For the people who return month after month, simply home.
Hidden inside the concrete structure of Vasil Levski National Stadium, NUTONE has spent the last years building a culture around patience, pressure and proper techno the kind that unfolds slowly through the night rather than exploding in predictable moments.
The opening of the anniversary night belongs to MORØDER, arriving directly from the Metropolis DJ Academy IV. His debut earlier this year quietly caught the attention of the NUTONE crew enough to secure the first wild card appearance of 2026.
From there the narrative deepens.
AKELA enters his third season with the project, guiding the early hours upward before passing the dancefloor to SHADE., a long-standing member of ROBOLOCO and one of the artists who has rarely missed a NUTONE gathering since the beginning.
At some point after midnight, the room settles into the familiar rhythm of Miss Lidiya the host and emotional center of the project before the story moves into a longer arc with a 120-minute set by Ziggy, one of the key architects behind the night’s sonic identity.
And just when fatigue begins to appear, the tempo shifts again. After 5AM, Viktorija returns for a special birthday appearance a reminder that the final hours of a techno night are often the most honest ones.
The last word belongs to Ikki Øttø, who will guide the room until the lights finally come on.
Which, if you know NUTONE, might happen much later than expected.
In a city that constantly reinvents its nightlife, NUTONE feels almost stubbornly loyal to the underground idea that the dancefloor should be experienced, not consumed.
Maybe that’s why this year’s anniversary won’t happen in just one night.
Instead, the celebration stretches across two gatherings March 14 and March 21.
Two nights for the same family.
Two nights to remember why this room still matters.
Because in the end, NUTONE was never really about a venue.
