Always thinking ahead 💡
As we are officially 2 years from the decision to open the studio, and 1 year and 8 months with our doors open at @thesixcompound I sit in reflection from a whirlwind of things.
I know @charlizeafrica@mr.tyrellwashington and myself, often think “Did we really do this?!” lol. But… we really did!!! And to see it grow and continue to manifest into so much more, is truly incredible 🥹
The growth of our community and students have been huge strides! I get emotional watching our young students develop into amazing dancers and even more incredible human beings! Our phenomenal FACULTY that show up and show out! And could not do this without our ride or dies STAFF!!! We are in the trenches together, figuring out how to get better and better as a facility and team 💫 We are gearing up for our 2nd end of year Showcase, our 3rd Summer Intensives (that started it all), and going into season 3 of The Six Compound this early fall. 🤯 Time is flying!!!! But I wouldn’t trade any of it!

We put out a call with nothing but a skeleton… and 24 hours later—movement, vision, and a full piece came to life. That’s who we are. No time, no excuses—just creation. Pulling magic 🪄 out of thin air and turning it into something real.
And honestly… that’s our superpower.
That’s what makes us different. That’s what makes us us.
This is unseen footage—locked in the vault—but watching it back takes me right back to that room… the energy, the connection, the flow. It meant something. It felt like something.
