feeling grateful for everything 2025 brought. i got to work with some of my favourite people and was surrounded by a lot of love and support.
‘unlikely’ had been a long time coming, and turning songs I wrote in my bedroom into what they are today still doesn’t feel real.

this might be my last post about unlikely for a while soooo i wanted to share all the lyrics from the ep and say thank you again for every message, stream, gig, and bit of love you’ve shown this project.

the final song from my debut ep unlikely is out today and it’s called two sugars less. this one feels like a bit of a wake-up call. when you realise that if you’ve got so much love to give, you might as well give it back to yourself instead of pouring it into someone who can’t meet you there. it felt right to close the ep with that thought.
a couple of months ago i met miguel for a coffee and told him what i had in mind, and how the song came from the phrase “wake up and smell the coffee.” only here, the coffee’s less sweet. more bittersweet. he was with me from the first sip. then I reached out to one of the most beautiful cafes on our rock, and they opened their doors to my little idea. i really wanted the video to feel as raw as the song, so i filmed it myself on a camcorder. i guess the rest is yours to interpret.
i hope you enjoy listening and watching. and if your coffee tastes bitter right now, it won’t always.
