When people ask me where I get my inspiration, they are surprise when the first thing I say isn’t fashion magazines- the first thing I say is art and illustration’s, and paintings because my initial vision is more fluid. Then it becomes more cinematic and then it becomes more practical, putting all the different elements together, but my first initial inspiration is art. One of my favorite artists are Antonio Lopez, @marcantoinecoulon and @daviddownton and these illustrations of me and my muse’s are the style of illustrations that I find really dynamic. Thank you @my_dark_design for sending them of me, @mitzimartin and I love the illustration of you and I had to include it. They are really fun.. What type of art inspires you?

As a makeup artist, I’ve always believed the perfect neutral lip is less about trend and more about balance. It’s the shade that lets the woman come forward instead of the makeup wearing her. A great neutral can make the skin look richer, the eyes more alive, the entire face feel effortless without screaming for attention. Beauty doesn’t always need to be louder, bigger, or more overdone. My Frenchies are all rescues. Some came from shelters, others from backyard breeding situations where things became overwhelming and the dogs ended up needing help. A lot of people don’t realize how many French bulldogs end up abandoned, surrendered, or sitting in kill shelters waiting for rescue. Rescue is something I’ll always be involved in. We’ve had weeks where we saved a Frenchie every single day, only to have twice as many needing help the next morning. It can be emotionally exhausting, but these dogs deserve love, safety, and a second chance. I’m so grateful for my pups and for every person who has supported my rescue efforts over the years — the adopters, fosters, donors, transport volunteers, and everyone who shares posts and helps bring awareness. A special thank you to @jarekaddison and my sister @karlitasway22 for always being there through the chaos and heartbreak that rescue can bring. One of the biggest ways people can help is simply by sharing a shelter or rescue post.
