Massive news for That! Dance! 🚨
We’re delighted to say we’ve been awarded funding from Arts Council England for our next big project, “Why I Dance” 🎉
We’ll be showing off what dance means to our participants, showcasing their awesome talents and aiming to inspire community leaders and dance professionals to get serious about inclusivity in dance across the Midlands 🙌
As always, a big thank you to our supporters as we build up to our exhibition and community film in spring 2025 🙏
“Why I Dance” is generously supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and by The Brewhouse Arts Centre, East Staffordshire Borough Council, Mercer Family Charitable Foundation and FABRIC as part of Keep Moving, funded by United by 2022 ❤️

Charter for Equity Pilot 🌱
You may have seen news recently that That! Dance is one of six pilot organisations for Culture Central's new Charter for Equity. We'll be working alongside Black Country Touring, Live to Your Living Room, Open Theatre, Stourbridge Glass Museum and the Royal Shakespeare Company to test and shape a framework for fairer working practices across the West Midland's cultural sector.
As we grow, we want to make sure our policies, processes and ways of working are fair and effective and we're looking forward to learning with and from the other pilot partners.
You can find out more about the Charter for Equity Pilot on the Culture Central website (copy and paste this link): /news/charter-for-equity-pilot-organisations

Last month we welcomed Motionhouse dancers Beth and Olly to Burton who delivered a fun workshop for our Next Steps group! Over 3 hours we explored new techniques and partner work, as well as learning choreography and developing our creativity (we also loved that Harry Styles featured as a music choice!)
Thanks Beth and Olly for a brilliant time!
