I have officially exited @watch_momentum after co-founding it nearly 4 years ago. Starting a media company at 22 was exciting and terrifying but I was supported by some amazing people along the way. I am proud of the work we put out there and the impact I believe we had on baseball. One of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make but ultimately it was just time for me to start a new chapter. Thank you to everyone for the support over the years, made the journey worthwhile.

Some BTS clips and looks at the process of my latest short “Staying Shane” that we shot almost entirely on @kodak_shootfilm 16mm color and b/w using a mix of the Arri SR3 and Bolex and @venuslaowa nanomorph lenses
The approach with this film was to shoot this with as much surrealism as possible and wanted to keep it all practical, no VFX. I wanted to create these visual metaphors that coincided with Shane’s story to add more emphasis to his words.
I’ve always wanted to shoot a project on 16mm and baseball lends itself already to have a nostalgic feel. You can get close these days but it’s hard to replicate that feel/look 16mm offers and really think it shined here.
For these visual metaphors like the ball on fire, the rope snapping, spotlight void shot, etc I really wanted to elevate the visuals to match the weight of what Shane was saying without overpowering it. Shooting this all practically was a challenge (mostly for @ryan_dent lol) but it helped things stay consistent visually and I believe matched the tone of the project since a lot of this was simple set ups and run n gun.
Had a blast doing this with @ryan_dent and the feedback has been amazing, thank you to all who watched!
