As I turn 30, I’ve had some mixed feelings about it - it’s been a milestone that’s always made me feel a little bit anxious. Society has a way of making you feel like you’re behind if you’re not ticking off boxes by a certain age. Most of my 20s felt like I was trying to keep up with a timeline that didn’t feel that natural to me. Lately, the pressure to settle down - marriage, kids, the whole thing - has been louder than ever. And if you asked me in my early-20s, that’s exactly what I would’ve wanted too. But now we are here, there’s no way I would change where I’m at right now. I could never sacrifice my dreams just to tick boxes I felt were created for me.
Looking back on the last few years, I’ve achieved so many incredible personal and career goals that little me would’ve honestly dreamed of!
30 doesn’t look exactly how I imagined it, but it feels right - here’s to entering my 30, flirty and thriving era! 🤍
