The worst thing you can do is chase. 🐈⬛
When an avoidant pulls away, every instinct screams to close the gap. Don’t. Chasing only confirms what their nervous system already believes: closeness equals losing freedom.
Sit. Stay open. Let them come back. Like a scared cat.
Three things that actually work:
1. Embrace their need for space.
2. Lead with invitation, not accusation.
3. When they open up, praise the hell out of it.
That’s how they learn closeness is safe with you.

What nobody tells you about avoidant attachment. ❤️🩹
This might be the most misunderstood attachment style and I think it’s time we talked about it honestly. 🤍
Avoidants were never taught that closeness doesn’t have to cost them something.
They didn’t pull away to hurt you. Distance was the only way they knew how to stay whole.
In this video I’m breaking down what’s really going on, the patterns, the misconceptions, and where it actually starts.
Save this if it resonates. 🤍
