The screening of @downbeat.movie last night was such a treat. We were thrilled to be able to host with the help of @oneohfour_decatur and @reelfriendsmovies .
@stuffbydanny has made such a fun, textured and intimate film. The world is thrust upon you and it gets so comfortable to live in that it hurts when you have to leave it.
Shout out to everyone that showed up! And many thanks to @willrmadden for moderating the Q and A.
We're hoping to do more of these intimate screenings in the future, so keep an eye out.
We were honored to partner with the Mellon Foundation on this series highlighting the Muloma Heritage Center; a non-profit dedicated to preserving African Atlantic food culture. It was an incredible experience filming and photographing founding members Adrian Lipscombe, Mashama Bailey, and Tonya Thomas. They are as kind and welcoming as they are talented. It was a truly memorable day on set for our (very hungry) crew!

Sound is important.
We tried to handcraft a lot of our SFX and music. Doing a full foley and wildline day at @oneohfour_decatur helped elevate our short so much. Couldn't have done it without @amperspects , @masoncbrown and of course the never ending time and vocal cords given by @gregory_rossomme
Also shout-out to @mikeroon for letting me borrow Tenderfoots theremin. Much fun was had with that thing.

We're really excited to take the short to the Atlanta Film Festival.
Even more excited to shoot another short with the 4000ft of film we won.

"Last Days Of Summer" - An Experimental Short Film

It started as a quest to shoot some film for a bleach bypass test. Then we challenged Nicole @moments_in_between___ to think of something to put together in the next day or two, and we ended up with this beautiful experimental short.
Nicole Killed the direction on this in such a short amount of time. Joe brought all the life in with a sick edit and sound design ( We Love Joe) and Jeff wrapped up with a subtle but tasteful grade that lets the bleach bypass shine.
