My journey as a Production Designer has taught me so much about the craft of filmmaking, but most importantly, so much about myself as an artist. Grateful for every opportunity I've received and every challenge that came with it.
Cheers to @tofuumaker for being the coolest editor in town, she will always come through for you <3
I hope you have as much fun watching this, as we did making it :)

Wrapped up Killer of Men’s Production in May of 2025. A year later, we made it out onto the other side and it was all worth it.
Core memories from the Killer of Men AFI Screening - got to celebrate this special movie with some close friends and family ✨
there’s a quiet noise beneath my skin,
a restless tide that pulls within,
the ache I hold won’t stay forever,
whenever tears flow out of me, I always feel better :)
I’m fascinated with the concept of how Tears are meant to flow out of you in order to bring you to a state of Equilibrium. Somehow someway, we always feel better after a good cry and I like to tell myself that that’s the Universe’s way of letting you know that the soul needs some watering for it to Grow <3
In the summer of 2024, before our second year of film school, 8 of us got together at my tiny apartment and shot a film. Two years later, we had the opportunity to premiere it at @thegreatfilmclub and had a great screening.
It was the first film I got to write and produce ever and I couldn't have done it without @japhetevelaz and the crew that came together with their passion. This story came to us one night when Japhet decided to stare at me from the bridge while I was washing dishes in the kitchen, and it was creepy as hell but it sparked an idea. I used to be so fascinated with the architecture of this ancient apartment in the hills of Hollywood, how I could see anyone walking into my hallway through the bridge and how as soon as you cross this bridge you enter this extremely jarring change in textures and color. It's weird but there was a feeling and the film became a marriage of these two ideas. Japhet and I developed the entire film in a week and shot it in 8 hours. Here's some bts I took on this very special project.
Thank you to @thegreatfilmclub for the space and the kindness. We can't wait to share it with everyone ✨

The idea for this piece came to me in the thick of my period a few months ago. This interpretation of Kali to me signifies how much Women silently endure while navigating a world designed for Men.
To us, our power and our strength...
The Production Designer.
Rj is a self taught artist and Production designer with a foundation in Architecture. Her architectural Thesis stemmed from a fusion of her passion for cinema and the spatial principles of architectural design - an exploration that sparked her fascination with how space can evoke emotion and shape story. This intersection continues to define her work as a Production Designer, where she crafts environments that are as emotionally resonant as they are visually precise. What sets her apart as a designer is not merely her technical prowess but rather, the empathetic lens through which she approaches each visual composition. For her, design extends what’s written on the page - it lies in what we are meant to ‘feel’.
