Whenever people ask about my personal history with cooking, I always like to tell them how as a child my mom had me practice folding dumplings with purple play-doh before I moved onto the real thing. I consider myself to be a pretty advanced home cook these days, until my mom saw the zongzi I wrapped and said, “Next time we’ll practice with paper first.” 🌚🌚 I guess we all need to be humbled occasionally.
