allow me to (re)introduce myself.
i’m morgan (okmo). 🤍
i’m a dj in bham, al, but i’m usually somewhere between the beach, a coffee shop, or my next travel destination. i love music that feels inviting and makes you want to do a little boogie.
get cozy. this is a space for good energy, learning out loud, and community.
happy you’re here 🫶
thanks to @itsokmo , we’re turning c̶r̶a̶f̶t̶ ̶c̶l̶u̶b̶ into Club Craft for one night only!!!🪩✨
Morgan, @itsokmo , is a female DJ based in birmingham! she brings good energy house music that injects joy into any space or event. her sets just feel like magic, and she is a pro at connecting humans through music!🪩
at Club Craft, you’ll get to dance, craft, and enjoy the best vibes while okmo does her thing!💖
get to know more about Morgan and her business below!
⭐️what is your business all about and what inspired you to start it?
“okmo is about creating inclusive spaces through music. I grew up dancing and playing piano and guitar. I lost some of that connection over time. Seeing DJs and other artists at festivals brought the joy and sense of community back. My goal is to create that same feeling through sets that invite people in, get them moving, and turn sound into something shared.”
⭐️what’s one thing that people might not know that you do?
“I make pottery. It taught me to stay present, trust the process, and roll with what’s in front of me — which ended up being a huge stepping stone into DJing.”
⭐️if you could talk to your 12 year old self, what would you tell her?
“It’s okay to take up space and let go of what other people think. The things you love and the way you move through the world will one day be exactly what connects you to others.”
⭐️fave coffee shop or restaurant in Birmingham? what do you order?
“My answer is always changing. We have too many great options. One of my favorite things to do is grab a coffee scroll from Last Call and pair it with an orange fig latte from June.”
⭐️how can people best support you and your business?
“Come out to events and support local spaces that prioritize community and creativity. Even something as simple as sharing a post goes a long way.
Most importantly: DANCE! I always hear people at sets say, “I wish people were dancing.” Be the person who starts it. Someone else is waiting to share that moment too.”
