I don’t regret anything that I’ve been through because I believe everything happens for a reason. Although there were times I couldn’t even stand living, I’m thankful for all those moments.
From having dreams to be a footballer, then to losing my brother, for years living with grief and anger. Then to one day, completely stopping everything I was doing because life got too overwhelming.
Then I’m seeing all my teammates online getting signed to different clubs, while I’m working for Deliveroo doing deliveries on my friends little sisters bike. Confused to thinking, how on earth did I get here?
I was constantly tempted to throw my life away, and turn to crime because that’s the easiest thing to do. But I always knew deep down I was special and I had so much potential, I just didn’t have any support or guidance to help me reach it.
When all you know is football, and that love gets taken away from you, life becomes very difficult.
Growing up I wouldn’t imagine @thestreetzfootball to be my calling, but I thank God for leading me here because I absolutely love it. Working with kids and being able to lead them in a positive way is like a breath of fresh air.
I’m able to share wisdom and guidance to the next generation and that feeling is priceless - being that role model I wish I had growing up.
I’ve met some amazing people on this journey, and I want to thank everyone who’s played a part in it so far - I appreciate you all.
All my supporters and followers, I want to thank you all - you all give me life foreal 🖤
To every kid I’ve worked with, you’ve all made me a better version of myself you wouldn’t even imagine.
I could literally cry thinking back at all I’ve been through on this journey to where I am today, it’s been a rocky road. But that’s life, you can either sink or swim.
To anyone going through hard ship in your life, here’s a reminder that tough times never last, but tough people do.
Long may the mission continue..
