Peace is not a trend neither is it seasonal! My#ade my first ever ‘peace’ plate couple of years ago with birds and flowers, but this illustration stuck in this form as my fav. Excited to make some more different colour combos and find my peace in the moments i’m tucked away from the not-so-cute state of the world while illustrating these 🕊️

New print!!! GIRLHOOD is def a FAVE SO FAR (not just cos I talked about making it for years now) 🫢
It is a collection of tiny objects and everyday items I associate with what being a girl feels like. Sometimes cutesy knick knacks that get thrown in my bag at random moments, other times props necessary to get through monthly cramps and another ones just as souvenirs of certain girlhood eras. This visualisation of what an essence of girlhood is was also not a solo project, but included many girls and women in my life. I collected these tiny bits and bobs over years and many places, going through my sisters jewellery boxes, my grandmas souvenir shelves, asking friends and family to lend me a printer and another one a scanner, picking flowers from my moms garden and even getting some stuff gifted from women I met over estate sales.
I wish to remember it all and assembling and curating it has been an incredibly fulfilling process 🐚🎀🕯️🌸🦢 From today on available over at @dobravaga
This is one of the biggest flat pieces I’ve ever done and I can’t believe the glaze came out this smooth! The almost mirror ceramic pieces has been a project I’ve been planning to make for years and I finally found the courage and time. I am so excited to make more and finish the ones I’ve got lined up on my ‘to be glazed’ pile in the studio 💫 #ceramique #ceramics #ceramicart #handbuilt
Sometimes I get so excited seeing a piece that took me a long time to make. This plater for example took well over 3 months from start to finish. Back then big pieces like this scared the hell out of me as they are more prone to breaking, warping and cracking. This one was also super thin for a plater of its size and I knew I wanted it to be special. So after I summoned the courage to illustrate and glaze (iykyk) the thing and it came out as beautiful as it did I really felt like no-one but me deserved to see it. At the end of the day any number of likes doesn’t make up for the time and effort a person puts in their works. And it really only needs to make sense to me 💫
Honestly couldn’t tell you what part of making jewellery is my fav, from sourcing and thrifting beads to combining and then photographing the final pieces. Through it all I feel like a lil kid playing around and getting to share the product with those of you who tell me how much you love them is an insane experience every time 😩💘 these few are left to grab for the perfect valentines or galentines gift and yes some of them glow in the dark🌷💫

As much as saying it this way is super cringey and corny it is also as real as I get here: The worst part about having collected all these colourful (and mostly vintage) fresh water pearls and making them into earrings is not being able to keep them all 🐚✨🌀Luckily for anyone that likes the medieval ethereal dewy look and has their ears pierced-> they can get them from me or at the makers collective pop-up💫 also finally the era of me taking pics and posting about my jewellery has begun (again?) 🎉
