✨Mobility monday✨ with my faveeee @itskyfitnesss This year we SHALL NOT be skipping mobility days 🙅🏿‍♀️🫵🏿 Mobility goes beyond stretching individual muscles or opening isolated joints. The body functions as a whole, interconnected system and that’s what makes mindful movement so damn good! When you improve your mobility, you’re not just becoming more flexible, you’re helping your body move better, feel better, and stay supported through everything you do 🧚🏿‍♂️ It reduces tension, supports your strength, and helps prevent those little aches that creep in over time. What’s better than that? 🤷🏿‍♀️ A small reminder to give your body that kind of care this week ✨💚

Now listen… if it’s you that hasn’t been to the gym this year, or you’ve been out of commission for a while, it’s time to come back. Spicy lil quad focused legs. I hardly use machines and quite frankly the more demotivated I am to workout the more I find myself on them, but they’ve been hella good to me, I’ve been prioritizing single leg work to really improve on my imbalances but I have a love hate relationship with squats and I’m really tryna get back stronger on them so here we are adding them every chance I get. One of my favorite classes I teach. I love that I get to make them test their limits, push past their thresholds, introduce to them to new movements & just overall being badass lifters. Santana ain’t have to tell me twice!!! Today was a great workout, you know those workouts you dream about and execute just right?! Yes today was one of those days! While I was doing the single leg prone curls, a lady at the gym had a conversation with me, she said how do I show up consistently, I make it look so easy…. I told her it really isn’t easy and today was one of those days that I was highly motivated to workout, it doesn’t always feel like that. It helps to have an accountability partner like her coach @daniel_rain_olorunfemi and just see people who show up day in day out like our community @sweatboxlagos seeing bodies you aspire to, hearing conversations about people having been in the gym for 7years… the more you have conversations the more you see there’s more to the eye, most of the people you covet their bodies have been there for years, you need to lock in! Forget all those 30day challenges.. they’re nice for boost of morale/building consistency, but reality is DISCIPLINE, there’s literally no other way to sugarcoat it, you just have to show up! #fitnessreel #sweatboxlagos #showupforyourself

I’m saying these things because I love you 😭 I have also done these in the past & just remember it takes years to learn. - You can’t spot reduce. 1000 crunches won’t burn your belly fat. Fat loss happens everywhere, not just where you “target.” - Toning is a marketing word. You’re either building muscle or losing fat. That’s it. - Being lean ≠ being healthy. Abs don’t automatically mean strength, good hormones, or proper recovery. - Discipline includes rest. Rest days are part of the plan, not signs of weakness. - Food is fuel, not a reward or punishment. You’re not “bad” for eating cake, and you’re not “good” because you had a salad. - Inconsistency will keep you in the same spot. You can’t out-train a bad schedule. - It takes TIME. Not weeks. Not a magic 30 days. We’re talking months and years of showing up. - You’re not too busy; you’re just not prioritizing. When I first started lifting, I thought it was just about the weight. But the real shift happened when I realised it’s about the discipline, the consistency, and the way you speak to yourself when no one’s watching. I hate when my clients say they can’t do an exercise even before the attempt that self sabotage ultimately reflects in the workout. You gotta be more positive! Push day today —— chest, triceps, shoulders felt okay, but the bigger win is showing up for myself. Hype me up😤 @officialflippat

You really don’t need much! Only Dumbbells available?! Let’s get to work! Just 4 exercises and you gone feel the burn. I’m in an endurance phase the reps are not my business, I always go high in this endurance phase. 10-20 reps if possible!
