As a public figure, I can easily handle my struggles privately and show a “perfect” image publicly. However, I want YOU to understand that life with Jesus doesn’t ALWAYS mean a quick or instant change.
Change is a process and a journey “Take up YOUR cross daily” - Luke 9:23. So don’t be discouraged by your setbacks, falls, and slip-ups. If you’re TRYING and you’re STRUGGLING, that means you’re doing something right because there is a tension between who you are now and who you can become.
I share my sins and struggles not to boast about a sinful life, but to help remove the shame of feeling like you have to appear perfect as a preacher or public figure. But more importantly, as a believer in Christ.
Don’t carry shame! Keep moving forward!
