My name is Geza Frey, and I am an artist. I’ve been doing this since I was a kid but this is my first time displaying my work in a gallery for the world to see..
As an artist, it’s an exhilarating experience, but it’s also very scary. Will my art be understood? Appreciated? What value does it add to the world? Nevertheless, the day of our GENESIS event all of these things were on my mind.
It all changed for me when I gave the first gallery walkthrough. I saw the look on everyone’s faces.. they got it. They understood. They asked questions. And as the day went on, more and more people wanted to talk to me about my art. Everyone gave their perspectives and interpretations and it was beautiful.. I felt as if I could go on all day talking about each piece and it was truly the reassurance I needed.
This is me being open and transparent, because as creators we all go through self doubt and wondering if we will be accepted. Thank you for accepting me, and thank you @tip.supply for being my outlet

Seriously though, we put our blood, sweat, and tears into our launch event, and the GENSIS collection. We wanted to build something that not only our community felt proud of, but something we could truly stand by. Thank you for showing up for US. Thank you for the validation in real life. Thank you for believing in our vision. This is grassroots community building and we are so happy to not only launch our brand, but to bring ppl together in a space where they feel comfortable. We had immense amount of content being created, and posted. To us, this means we fostered an environment where we all felt fully ourselves. Thank you to all that played a role in our launch, big or small, we see you and you are always apart of the TIP team. TIP GENESIS was a moment in history and I hope you all remember how you felt. Try to make others feel the same way in your everyday life. Just like the event came and went, our lives can be fleeting, and we can wonder where the time has gone. Take that shit back, today 🤲🏽♥️

thank you @jeffroseking for the opportunity, and for bringing the culture together. different type of energy. @j.seph.d appreciate the hospitality too. yall welcomed my family with open arms, especially my mom on Mother’s Day. that’s really who we do it for.
the piece was built off my original artwork and designed on top of the Detroit Tigers “gold chain” fitted from the Holiday ‘24 drop at @hatclub . the side panel New Era flag was reworked with my TIP camo embroidery, featuring gold TIP logo chains throughout. I also hand painted the interior inspired by face tattoos and placement styles. the mask was built as one seamless piece flowing directly into the back panels of the hat, which made the final execution feel even crazier in person.
seeing my Detroit Campiones Lucha Libre fitted mask concept come to life in under a week was crazy. huge thank you to @tiempo_prestado and @flynfitted for believing in my wild idea and being willing to help. from the seamless mask construction to the craftsmanship and turnaround time, the attention to detail meant everything.
last but not least, thank you @lucycrivelli for being everywhere at once and documenting this moment from beginning to end. your support helped push this piece across the finish line. the photos and videos mean more than you know.
