Getting ready for convention season by putting together a tiny Dr. Shroud comic! The first 8 pages will be printed as a special giveaway.
Nobody really does ashcans anymore (I think?), but I love the idea of a mini comic that can slip right into your back pocket.
Once I start posting the comic online this summer, this will also be one of the redeemables you can grab with Vamp Points at drshroud.com!!
Last week when our flight was delayed to Philadelphia due to snow, we had to stay a couple of nights in Charlotte. We turned lemons into <insert clever Michael Jackson analogy> by seeing the MJ musical in its opening night. It was amazing! One take away: while the performers were outstanding, you realize just how talented the King of Pop really was. Great time!
Instead of chasing comic reading networks or spending marketing dollars, I built my own reader for the new Dr. Shroud graphic novel.
Launching with 8 pages, then one new page per week. As you read, Vamp Points are automatically earned and banked as part of the software.
They are just loyalty points like credit card rewards, not crypto.
Points can be redeemed for physical collectibles like mini ashcans and stickers, with more products added over time.
Planning to have it live before Comic Con in July.
