Red trees and white mountains, exactly what I expected to see when planning a fall trip to Patagonia. This is from being at higher elevation. Lower down, everything was still green. In hindsight, I might even recommend going later, like 3rd or 4th week of April instead of 1st week.

The amazing Spirit Island in Jasper, Alberta. Full set of images from this day coming soon. // I remember seeing photos of this place for the very first time in the summer of 2016 and immediately being drawn to it. An island in a perfectly blue lake, which is often very still, and perfectly framed by what I still regard as a particularly unique shape of amphitheater-like surrounding mountains. It’s super popular now and photos of it have circled the world ten times over and back again, but it’s still as beautiful as ever, and usually pretty peaceful since access is so restricted. // also - random fact of the day: Spirit Island is actually not an island, it’s an isthmus, which is a piece of land which is sometimes a peninsula and other times an island depending on the water level at the time. So let’s all start calling in Spirit Isthmus alright. #SpiritIsthmus
Fall is loading in Patagonia.
While spring is firing this week in the northern hemisphere, fall is starting to take on full colour at the bottom of the continent.
Photos taken March 30th - April 12th, 2023.

What a wild ride it has been. Which is your fave??
Also - quite difficult to choose just five. I’m sure this isn’t the last time I’ll post one of these though. My Lr catalog has at least 3 million photos in it.
1. Patagonia
2. Jasper
3. Banff
4. Alaska
5. Jasper
If I only had five opportunities to show you my best work, out of the 3 million photos I’ve taken in 11 years, this would be at the top of the list.
Of course there are many I have probably forgotten and may post several of these as I rediscovered my best work. But as of right now, this is it.
What’s your fave?

Two days on the road exploring BC Highway 20 with @omsystem.cameras and the OM-5 Mark II paired with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm f/4.0 IS PRO Lens. I’ve really been enjoying not having to change lenses with the incredible range this covers.
The OM-5 Mark II is equipped with a micro-four-thirds (MFT) sensor, which has a crop factor of 2x. Meaning the effective range of the lens, when compared to full frame is 24mm to 200mm. Achieving this kind of range with one lens is a huge advantage and allows capturing wide-angle landscapes as well as telephoto wildlife shots without having to swap lenses.
Not having to overthink my gear is exactly what I’m looking for. With this setup, I can just grab my camera and head to the mountains - no prep required.
Images captured in the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region of British Columbia from January 23rd to 24th of 2026.

140 years is a long time. Happy Birthday @mercedesbenz
Looking back on these shoots brought back a ton of memories of the grind that went into making them happen and the chaos along the way. Looking forward to many more 4am sunrises with the crew.

Just like that, backcountry booking season is upon us yet again. Really looking forward to that week away in the mountains. Have a few things we’re looking to secure for this season. What bookings are you going for this year?
#ad Untraveled roads and slow mornings spent in the wilderness far from the noise of city life. This is my favourite way to experience the most remote areas of British Columbia, and it’s where the Toyota Tacoma feels most at home.
