September 3, 2024 was a day that forever changed our lives with Bryce being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
There was a lot of confusion, anger towards God, and grief but there was also a lot of choices, especially as a Dad.
One being where would we go from here, and how are you going to lead now? Are you going to allow this to define Bryce, or will you use something that tried to derail us as a family and make it bring not only us closer by teaching him that he can do hard things, but now inspiring our community to do the same.
Today I ran my first race ever, 1.5 weeks of training, a 10K that ended up being extra (7.59 miles) but for Bryce? I’d do it again. Oh, and to win 🥇 for my age, it reminds me that I can do hard things too. I hope he not only knows that resiliency runs in his DNA, but today he sees it modeled.
