Our run of Hairspray came to an end this weekend. So many people to thank. So many memories to name. For now I’m simply grateful. I feel so lucky to have been a part of something so damn special. I’m sooo thankful for the overflow of continuous love, support & community l’ve received throughout my musical debut. This cast has made my life technicolor and it’s been an honor to share moments in time together on and off the stage. I’m still in awe of the talents my castmates have been gifted with, and witnessing how it truly transcends all of our many differences and backgrounds. It is impossible to forget the magic we made from our first day of rehearsals to our last show. thank u for dancing with me, laughing with me, and crying with me. It has been a joy to be Motormouth Maybelle and I’m immensely proud of the story I’ve been privileged to share. Thank you to my AMAZING directors & producers for choosing / trusting me to steward a dream in hearts for integration, authenticity, and cultural shifts within the creative spaces here in Baltimore with @suburban_players . I’ve spent the past five months celebrating and embracing boldness, resilience, and the power of love through the lens of a character who I’ve seen in myself, my black brothers & sisters, and those marginalized. I’ll hold that with me forever as we continue to come together in fiery passion to create change, break through barriers, acknowledging the past while we aspire for a better more united tomorrow🖤🤎 I still don’t have all the words to express the entire experience, so I’ll leave you with this for now; THANK YOU all for cultivating new joy in my life & BLONDES REALLY DO HAVE MORE FUN !

Seeing @lenawaithe literally shine in her play, Trinity & seeing my friends create absolute magic in Catch Me If You Can @suburban_players . • i play hard but i work harder. seeing the fruits of my labor more and more in the communities that are being built. •i love my friends. & i love my cat!
