Hyrox weekend over and I think we’re retired for a while 😂
Started off with a mixed PB - really had no idea what to expect here since we both didn’t have a Hyrox specific prep (I’m in marathon training so almost exclusively running) but surprised myself! Still felt like andrew had to carry the team a lot but happy with the little PB :)
Solo… is a different beast 💀💀💀 mad respect for everyone who does this.
First half of the race I thought I was bombing from sled push to burpees but found some recovery in the row and was able to amp it up a bit. Soo much learnt in my first solo (like yes the sleds are really that hard even for open and you do need to train them 😅)
Stoked with my wall balls which saved my time goal big time
Overall so proud of myself for hitting both goals and for backing up the mixed with a solo! I think if I were ever to do another solo I’d need to properly train cos that felt rough.
Not to mention capturing about 10 other races in between - big win I reckon 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks @ceciliamattas for helping me through my side quests during marathon training & making the runs feel like a break amidst the other pain 😂

This era of my life is about leaning into what feels extra good.
I LOVED a good time out and a wine… and don’t get me wrong, I still do from time to time, but I’m finding those days are getting much more rare.
What I value now over anything else is how I feel. Am I rested? Am I hydrated? Do I feel like I am a little bit stronger than last week? Am I mentally and physically challenged? That’s the life I’m loving these days 🥰
