We just had to say goodbye to our best friend Penelope. I brought her home when I was 16 without informing my parents and she’s gotten me through every stage of life since. For anyone who met her you know how perfect she was and how much she loved everyone. She converted many people who didn’t like dogs into loving dogs. She was one of the best things that ever happened to me and we will miss her for the rest of our lives. Make sure to tell everyone you know about her.

A few months ago my adhd brain reminded me reading exists and since then I’ve become a frequent flyer at @chicagopubliclibrary flying through over 40 books a month 👀. Today it was time to show @e.b.stern how I’m always leaving and returning with so many books.

I proposed back and so now we’re both engaged!! I did it where we first met (well about 1000ft above 😉) Can’t wait to do this forever!!!!! and shout out to @max_stern for helping lure her there

8.17.2024 the love of my life proposed via flash mob and I said yes! The day I met you 5.5 years ago I could've only dreamed we'd end up here. I can not wait to do forever with you! Shout out to all the friends and family who helped keep secrets, learned choreography, set up a celebration, and came into town to celebrate our love.

5 years ago I used my tinder super like to match with this babe. I texted all my friends that I was getting drinks that night with a hot poly lawyer and that I was SO nervous. After our date I literally prayed before bed that night “pleaseeeee let her like me” cause I knew from day one I was hooked. I spent the next few weeks attempting to charm her with elaborate dates and texting political articles so she’d think I was as smart as I thought she was. Fast forward to now, we have a beautiful family with our sweet senior dog. We spent 3 years of our relationship doing international long distance during a pandemic in true queer style. We’ve lived in 4 apartments and went through 3 cars and with all that I still get excited every time she walks into a room. I try to flash back to 22 year old Ab every once in a while and remind them constantly that it all works out. You end up living a beautiful life with your dream girl full of adventures, cuddles, and great photo shoots along the way. You have the partner you’ve always dreamed of that you can tackle hard things with in the present and fantasize about the future with. You have your person to feed your food experiments to, to collapse into when you have no bones, and to debrief all social situations when you get home. You even get her hooked on some of your favorite reality tv. Five years has flown by Erica and I truly cannot wait to see what our future holds. You are the most loving, compassionate, strong, beautiful, and intelligent partner I could’ve asked for. You have exceeded the dreams of 22 year old Ab and in 5 years you will exceed the dreams of 27 year old Ab. Every moment of my life is more enjoyable with you in it. After 2 months of vet appointments, 1 surgery, 2 weeks in a cone, 1 kennel, 16 pills a day, many tshirts and lots of treats… our sweet perfect baby is cancer free!!! Her oncologist said we never have to come back and as soon as she heard the news she bolted out of that place.
