This is an alternate edit of the video of an arrangement I wrote of the song:
(Ai de lu shang zhi you wo he ni)
“It’s only you and me on the road of love” by @richiejen623 .
Here is the original description:
Though Mandarin is not a language I speak at all (my pronunciation may be imperfect here and there), this is a song quite dear to my heart as there is a circulating dance of nostalgia around me each time I listen to it. The arrangement is divided into the first part, the original lyrics to the first verse and chorus, and a second part: a verse I wrote in English.
Just over a week ago, I discovered that Richie Jen’s birthday is the 23rd of June. It was a comforting discovery, almost warm, as it reminded me of this particular song of his which I had in my computer since my childhood, but never truly discovered until I grew older. The song was accompanied by an adorable animation, and this nostalgia has been one of my Muses, often as I write works about nostalgia itself.
A very, very special thanks to these incredible musicians:
@its.zaaaack on Clarinet
@s.naqvi15 on Flute
@frost2r on Voice
I am so humbled and honored that you guys agreed to perform my arrangement with me - you three are amazing 🙏🏽❤️.
Thanks again to @frost2r for the translation from the Mandarin 🙏🏽🥰.

Well it’s been a year since I participated in my last ACR with 147 Airwolf RCACS. I think that with my actual age out happening in around a week, I figured id finally write a lil something to formally end this chapter of my life.
Now those if you who were at ACR last year have probably heard the story of how my age out speech was mentally composed 20 minutes before the presentation of my mug, but since then Ive realized that there is so much more i want to say. First of all, I want to thank all the cadets, past and present, who made my career such a joy and so memorable. Without you guys, I dont think i would have found so much joy in being a cadet. I hold all of you very dearly in my heart. A special thank you to the senior command team from my last year, you guys rocked! And also you put up with my bs as dep comm.
To the cadets I saw today, you guys rocked. I had expectations and you guys smashed every single one of them. I am so proud to say that I was once a part of this squadron. You guys are the best❤️
Year 1: Done
Imma be so real, I have next to no photos of the school year since some asshole stole my phone, but I do have homework. Thanks a million to all of you guys who made my first year at Berklee as incredible as it was! Truly, without some of you, I would be a wreck. But this one goes out to the late night crams, the hyper-caffeinated me, that one friend I sorta know ish maybe well, the Canadian theme song, and all you people who say soory instead of sarry. I’d like to think I learned something, but all I really know now is that I know absolutely nothing.
So lucky to have gotten the opportunity to play with these incredible players over the past week, i feel like you all have motivated me to practice even harder and work towards my dreams so that one day we might see each other again and deliver yet another fire concert🔥🔥
With special thanks to Adrian @eidorian_rongu , Andrew @andrewb9797 , Calen @calen__m , Justin @ju.woo_ , Micah, and Sunny @sunny_w_05 for being an awesome group to hang out with🎷
Thankyou to Robert Miller, Dr Hopkins, Dr Mackay, and Percussion Girl @minsol_k for absolutely blowing my mind with awesome music, and directing an amazing performance.
And a final thankyou to everyone that watched the concert, whether it be live or stream, your support means everything to me as a performer, and i hope you liked our performance:)
