A productive year! Of course some big numbers and a smattering of album covers doesn't capture all that it was, but it's fun to look at nonetheless. Some things that this doesn't capture: progress on the spiritual journey, strengthening old friendships and building new ones, seeing more of the world, learning in all it's forms, and teaching whatever I have to offer. "Don't Tease Me With A Good Time" — the new album from the iconic @jessiej — is out now!!! This project arrived in my life at the perfect moment. In fall 2024, I stepped away from a salaried engineering role — a dream gig in many ways — and had to stand on my own again. I felt the fear of rebuilding, finding artists to work with, and taking full responsibility for my business. Then, in early 2025, I got a call from super-producer and friend @loshendrixx asking me to work on Jessie’s new album. I was thrilled — and honestly a little in disbelief at how beautifully things can align. Los connected me with the insanely talented artist, producer, and creative @jesseboykins3rd , and we started trading sessions and diving in. Fast-forward many months… and the album is finally out. It’s a vulnerable, expressive, dynamic body of work, and I hope everyone reading this gives it a listen. I’m honored to share the mixing credits with one of my heroes, @serbangheneamixes , along with @yianniap and @jkercy2085 — all of whom brought incredible work to their mixes. Mastered by @jlaportamasters at @sterlingsound to top it all off.
