Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland - @orangetreetheatre I can’t underestimate what a vast undertaking this magical show was. Creating Wonderland in-the-round with a huge cast and big visual transformation, there were a lot of very late nights, a huge number of makes, lots of lengthy, detailed chats and possibly my longest ever design presentation. OFFIES DESIGN AWARD WINNER 2026 Such an honour to win for the incredible Production of ‘Die Rheinnixen’ @gothic_opera ! It takes a village, and in the absence of speeches, I want to write a few words. @gothic_opera the work you do is rare and incredible. To rediscover operas lost to time and welcome them to new hearts and minds. Plus, who doesn’t love a gothic Halloween twist? @maxrhoehn thank you for being such an inspiring collaborator, your concepts, rigorous and vivid ideas and stunning research images. Katie Higgins & @guildhallcostume Students @iriscostumes & @pashath.exe your professionalism, attention to detail, managing double casts and sourcing stunning costumes was a joy to work with. This would not have been half this show without you. You are INCREDIBLE @amberillustrati your film work full of dreaminess brought so much life and movement to the stage @hannah.von.wiehler and your orchestra, you totally rose to the challenge of being centre stage, I’m so glad your incredible performance could be highlighted. When orchestras are small, there isn’t a moment to drop focus & each and every audience member was entranced. @its.luca.panetta the atmosphere created through lighting added depth and mystery to this hollowed out textured space. @carriecroft_ what you managed to pull together at the very last minute was incredible. The show came together even more beautifully than I could have dreamt and all those phone calls and emails and brainstorming how to make swords stand up and deliver tonnes of aggregates to lay safely on the floor of a listed building, I am indebted @corafrank.eu & @vendyp_sm thank you for being my Sanity (and my insanity) you are friends for life. The gorgeous casts - your support, performances and swagger really brought these characters to life. Your interaction with the space brought the audience ever closer and created something truly unique. And of course, thank you to my Mamma & my Partner for your love, fixing me when I am post-show-broken, and only sometimes telling me off for all the stuff I leave everywhere. OFFIES DESIGN AWARD WINNER 2026 Such an honour to win for the incredible Production of ‘Die Rheinnixen’ @gothic_opera ! To win yesterday felt especially pertinent. The fringe opera world is small, brilliant and full of fire but facing against so much adversity. These companies are ensuring opera can be accessible, exciting and not one bit fusty.
