In Lonyuduk, Kenya, Lominyo spent years balancing the daily challenges of caring for her family in a place shaped by hardship and uncertainty — walking long distances for water, caring for livestock, and carrying the weight of stress and uncertainty alone. Through community-based mental health support, protection awareness, and access to essential services, she found new strength, hope, and connection. Today, all of her children attend school, her family has access to safe water and protection sessions, and she has become a voice for change in her community. “I used to be silent and isolated. Today, I am strong. I know stress is part of life and I now know how to manage it.” Healing. Resilience. Hope. This is Lominyo's story.

Real recovery is community-led. In Colombia, local Child Friendly Space facilitators are helping create safe spaces where children feel supported, understood, and safe. Because the people who understand a community best are the people within it. Let's hear it for our wonderful team in Colombia 👏

Throughout 2025, more than 108,000 people gained access to improved water sources through IsraAID’s work in Ukraine. In a country shaped by years of conflict, safe water is not a given. Across Ukraine, IsraAID is rehabilitating and maintaining water systems, training local technicians, and restoring consistent, reliable access — one community at a time. Every number represents a real person. A family. A step toward recovery. Today, our work continues. We need your help to reach as many people as possible. 📚On World Book Day, we’re reminded of the power of stories — and the role access plays in shaping who gets to read them. Digital platforms have made stories and educational content more accessible and, in many ways, more sustainable. But, today, 2 out of 3 school-aged children have no internet at home. 60% of primary schools worldwide are not connected. For children in the communities where we work, the gap between knowledge and access is still very real. At IsraAID, we’re working to close that gap — from connecting schools to the internet in Guatemala, to creating locally relevant digital content in Dominica that supports both literacy and learning. This World Book Day, and every day, we are championing access — to books, to the internet, and to the tools children need to thrive 🌍

A birth certificate can open the door to essential services like education, healthcare, and protection. In many communities, accessing one is not always simple — but it can make a lasting difference in a child’s life. In Kenya, IsraAID is working alongside Kakuma communities to support access to birth registration. Through awareness sessions in local schools, over 450 caregivers received information and guidance on the process. Together, 460 birth registration forms were completed — helping connect more children to the services and support they are entitled to. Our work is far from over, but we are committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive. Are you?
