It was a pleasure working in this project for Pure Cork last year. We got the best of the weather and the greatest of the people. We saw almost every corner and even started thinking about moving there! My Cork cousins were right after all! Although don’t be telling them that! We spent several weeks across the county capturing all sorts, and had a great time doing it. Voiced by the wonderful @clarabelleharte , music by Traveler, script by Islander.

A sunset over the city. We’ve been working on a bunch of new tourism material for @pure_cork which has had us down in the wonderful county of Cork this year. Some fantastic people and great memories from a few weeks in the sunshine earlier this year. It’s always such a pleasure to get to experience all the different corners of this beautiful county we’re lucky to call home, and of course meet the people who welcome others to it.

Lagom ~ In Balance ~ Just the right amount Our retreat at @staylagom reminded us what balance really feels like. The perfect mix of sea, summit, soul, sisterhood, & …whiskey and pizza 🙌🏻 This is the salty spirit encapsulated: wild but grounded, bold but gentle, full of kind joy. Lagom in motion. Salt in our hair. Peace in our bones. Wild in our hearts This stunning film was captured and created by @islander.ie #staylagom #saltysisters #lagom #justtherightamount

Off the coast of County Kerry on a project for Fáilte Ireland. Travel is definitely a perk of the job, but so is the welcome to climb through the window of peoples lives. Looking forward to more glimpses of life around Ireland, and to sharing a bit more of the journey. 📷 @johnny_frazer

In the depths of the Atlantic. Whilst filming for a project for Fáilte Ireland, it’s been great to bring another angle to the story. Especially when the weather and water is as nice as this. @johnny_frazer goes for a swim around Skellig Michael in County Kerry. Thanks to @skelligcoastadventures for the incredible trip to a special place.

Everytime I post about our @wildmedireland course- I get so many questions! 💚 This course is for anyone who has an interest in wanting to learn wilderness first aid, navigation, mountaineering, water safety skills (and much more!) in the most unique setting. The multidisciplinary faculty shows that this course is for multi disciplines- students, nurses, prehospital, physios, drs to name a few. All specialties will take away from this course! International delegates are welcome, of course, to the west of Ireland 🇮🇪(@irelandwestairport the local ✈️) we’ve had UK 🇬🇧 and Norwegian 🇳🇴 delegates on recent courses. Ran at @bigstyle.ie lodge in the west of Ireland, overlooking Clare Island, the stronghold of our famous Queen Grace O Malley, it is the best setting 💚 Ran twice a year, April and September- check out @wildmedireland for info and courses! Huge credit to @islander.ie for this hair raising video and our own faculty Colm for the voice over. I’d listen to his accent all day! 💚💚💚💚💚

The full video for @wildmedireland from their course in County Mayo. A great few days in some lovely April weather. Shot on the Sony A7S3 with Zeiss Primes.

A short video made for @wildmedireland , with a poem narrated WildMed instructor Colm Burke. Filmed in Mayo, it features a group of medical professionals who are undertaking one of WildMed’s courses to learn about medical intervention and procedures in more remote areas.

Over the past year we’ve been working with a lot of great clients, and we’ve travelled the length and breath of Ireland in all weathers. We’ve had some challenging days and some great experiences, and will be sharing some of those moments as well as many others. Let the journey resume.

A new chapter begins. The last two years have been my busiest ever, with so many great memories of places travelled and people met. I’ve been trying to decide the best way forward with everything, and I’m going to try and update much more frequently, so I have decided to separate myself from Islander and focus my posts on both cinematography and life. For those keen to follow along, please give @islander.ie a follow. I have a ton of new projects to share and hopefully some insight into this tumultuous way of life. Here’s to the next adventure. O.
