I loathe repairing printers, they take forever to get into these days and a pretty poor chance of repair. That said, I’d only just bought this printer before leaving the states and it wasn’t cheap. I blew it up plugging it into 240V ac. So I knew it would only be a power supply death. To my surprise, in the smps power supply the only difference between a 240 and a 100v variant is the main capacitor. 220uF 200v (USA) vs 220uF 400v (UK) and that was all it needed. It had bled electrolytic fluid everywhere but came straight back to life. Here’s a print test…
Got the keys to Isla HQ 2.0 this week. Started unpacking yesterday big shout out to @rozz3r for all the help and giving up his Saturday! Thanks again to you all for your patience. I’m so happy to be reunited with all my shit after several months apart! I can’t wait to be working in a proper space again.
