It’s been a while. I remember around 2010-2012 i used to go to Kisahalli several times a week to work on my skills in the lab. It was a way for me to release stress, to develop skills and focus on something that lets me get into flow state. Something outside of creating music that resonsted the same way. I love dance and have not been doing that enough for the past years. During and after covid i did not have the time and energy to do it other than a few times here and there, few battles, some jams… nothing weekly. Didn’t have the resources to get out and do things like this. Currently i’m working on becoming a full time videographer, working on music in the studio and drumming for several live projects, and time is not something i have plenty of. But i will try my best to not leave too long gaps between krump sessions. If nothing else, i can lab at home. 20 minutes here and there. Watching these clips we shot a whila ago when in the lab with Saku i felt at the same time rusty but also flowing with brand new ideas. I have grown as a person which reflects how i dance and how i think, how i react and what i feel like when dancing. Technique might be rusty and my body doesn’t move as quick and strong as i’d like but there’s fresh new ideas and unlimited potential to be unlesshed into my krump. If i only allow it to happen. 👊🏻
