❔So, how long does a drawing take!? For full color illustrations with facial features, it takes about 7-8 minutes per person or 14-15 minutes for a couple. ⏱️ Yes, I could go faster. But I value quality over quantity. I want your guests to LOVE their illustration so much they frame it the moment they get home. 🙌🏼 Yes, I could hire a team to move things along so more guests can be drawn. (And I totally admire those who do!) However, my sketches are made in a really specific style that has been fine tuned over years. It’s not teachable in a few months and I think there’s something special about having an original work by an artist you admire. For now, I’m the only artist on my team, and I love it that way. It allows me to offer a totally consistent luxury experience where I control every variable (yep…I might be a little OCD) and can guarantee artwork I am proud of! ❔What are you paying for when you hire a live illustrator? Budget is king (or queen) and if you’re shopping around, you’ll notice prices vary - just like with any other vendor! Here’s what goes into my pricing: 🎬 Before the event, behind the scenes: I spend hours designing original pose templates because every person carries themselves differently. I use hand-cut archival paper and high quality fade-resistant markers, and I’m constantly experimenting - adding watercolor touches, subtle glitter, even creating little animations afterward because…why not? 🩷 I connect intentionally with both you and your planner to chat about timing and flow so everything feels seamless. On your day, I work from photos so guests can keep dancing, but I LOVE when they gather around to watch. Some of my favorite moments are the conversations that happen at my table - guests getting excited, sharing stories, feeling genuinely special. ✏️ My fine art and fashion design degree definitely comes in handy - understanding how bodies move, how fabric drapes, getting those little details just right. Might sound like a small thing, but those details are what sets me apart. And that complimentary bride & groom portrait?
