📍 SECTION 2: SOCIAL SAFETY
Your safe space should not depend on your faculty, your identity, or your luck.
Radboud says safety is a value.
We say it needs a budget.
That means:
🧠 More psychologist FTEs, less waiting
🏳️🌈 Protected subsidies for queer-led student initiatives
📢 Consent education that starts with accountability
🪑 A student voice in every safety policy
Social safety isn’t reactive; it’s infrastructure.

📍 INTERNATIONALISM IN FOCUS: THE GLOBAL SOUTH
Tuition at Radboud for non-EEA students:
💸 €12,000 for a bachelor
💸 €18,000 for a master
We ran the numbers:
🌍 0% of Global South countries in our sample could afford even one year of tuition using their average yearly income.
Not rent. Not food. Just the fee.
Radboud says it’s a global university.
But right now, it’s global for the rich. Global for the West.
And closed to most of the world.
🎓 We demand:
✅ Transparent scholarship policy
✅ More bachelor-level aid
✅ No more tuition hikes that price out 90% of the planet
This isn’t about outreach.
It’s about access.

Radboud says it values internationalization.
But won’t fund it.
Won’t plan for it.
Won’t protect the students who live it.
We’re done pretending the mission statement is enough:
❌ No international office
❌ No updated strategy
❌ No room guarantees
❌ No protection from exclusion
🌍 ISEC believes international education should be structured, funded, and protected.
Because access isn’t a nice idea—it’s a policy choice.

Unfortunately, ISEC did not take home a seat in the 2024-2025 USC elections. But don't worry, we're not winding down anytime soon. We're here to make sure every voice is heard, one election at a time!
