At Kawah Ijen, we crossed paths with sulfur miners carrying insane weight for just a few dollars. But what shocked me most was seeing some of them now carrying humans instead of sulfur.
Tourists paying to be pulled to the top while men drag carts uphill for hours with their bare hands.
Beautiful sunrise, uncomfortable reality.
Sometimes the most beautiful places remind you how unequal the world is.
