Het eerste Isbells-album zonder Gaëtan als producer, 'and the noise settles’, verscheen vorig jaar. Het is een meesterwerk. Chantal Acda bracht een frisse visie en introduceerde nieuwe muzikanten en instrumenten, wat leidde tot een warm, akoestisch geluid.
Deze wonderschone opnames zullen live tot leven komen met de vaste Isbells-band, bestaande uit Gaëtan Vandewoude, Gianni Marzo, Gerd Van Mulders, Christophe Vandewoude en Chantal Acda.

@when_heaven_met_earth ‘s debut album has arrived! Early support has been strong (🙏), with coverage from @humo.be , @knackfocus , @de.tijd , @destandaard , @radio1.vrt , @klararadio and @radiowilly .
The project brings together Gaëtan Vandewoude (frontman @isbells ) and Paulien Iris Rondou (frontwoman @meowmeow_catbug ), who met two years ago and (clearly not ones to take things slow) wrote a full album together in just two weeks. The result is a warm, intimate indie-folk record, featuring string arrangements by (!) Peter Broderick, released via @polymoon.music .

2,5 years ago, I met Paulien (Heaven), and instantly fell in love. We didn’t just connect emotionally, but musically too, like we stepped into a new world of our own... When Heaven met Earth. Now, we’re beyond proud to share our debut album with you. Something that feels truly magical to us, especially with the beautiful contribution from Peter Broderick.

for the first time ever, i didn’t produce an isbells album myself. the latest isbells record "and then the noise settles" was produced by my good friend @chantalacda .
so what’s a better place to reflect on my favourite song from the album than a ferris wheel? nothing like slowly spinning in circles to really think things through.
