Let me introduce myself, I’m Isabella Calmet and I’m a musical animation artist. 🌱 and this is a small peak in what that term consists.

🪷Nelumbo is the result of this two years of work in my master at Fontys. It is also the result of the collaboration and inspiration I’ve gained from the people I’ve known in this process, specially the incredible musicians with whom I had the honor to play with @juan_velez04@abeltonarts@neslacerda@yik._.toong@ireri_alanis@laura_vd_k@ilse_kok , Angélica Murillo. It is always magical to listen your music being played by real musicians, but specially now I also felt supported and inspired by their love for their craft and their dedication ❤️.
Nelumbo is a ballerina, and there @alexanderwilbert_actor was the amazingly talented artist behind her dance ❤️ he not only created the choreography but helped me understand many things inherent in the movement of a dancer.
My composition teachers @celia__swart__ and @anthony_fiumara who where always a source of inspiration and guided me through the process.
My story telling and animation mentor @dana_alink who walked with me in the creation of the story of Nelumbo.
My family and friends in Perú who are my strength❤️
I hope I can make Nelumbo grow bigger and bigger, but for now I’m already grateful I was to tell and live her story supported by amazing people.

Im so happy to finally be able to paint big formats in my home , it always feels as a misterious ride, where I start thinking I know where I want to go and I end up following what appears by itself in the brush strokes, and its such an hypnotizing experience.

Un ejercicio que ayuda mucho a desbloquear mi creatividad, la idea es hacer una macha con cualquier líquido que tenga color. Sea te, cafe, sopa ; dejar que seque y luego descubrir dentro de la mancha los dibujos que ven tus ojos.
Sinceramente prefiero hacer este ejercicio sin grabarme porque tengo menos presion, pero bueno, es tambien un ejercicio de confianza en el proceso.
